The temperatures are expected to decline rapidly during the evening hours, which will freeze the snow melt that has run onto roadways, parking lots, driveways and sidewalks.

Untreated roadways and sidewalks will become slick and potentially dangerous, the National Weather Service warns.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to take extra caution while traveling Monday night and early Tuesday.

Temperatures will drop into the 20s overnight. Tuesday is expected to be rainy, with high temperatures in the 40s. For more on Tuesday's forecast, click here.
