FAIRFIELD, Conn. A motorist escaped injury when her car rolled over on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield early Sunday morning and burst into flames.
Fairfield Fire Department crews responded at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle had rolled onto its roof between exits 42 and 44 southbound and was burning when crews arrived.
The driver was the only person in the car. She was examined by paramedics but declined treatment and did not ask to be taken to the hospital. Fairfield and Westport fire department crews put out the fire, and no other vehicles were damaged.
