Doing Laundry In Cold Water Will Save You Loads Of Dollars, Report Says

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Fairfield County area residents who wash their clothes in cold water could save at least $60 a year, according to consumerreports.org.

To maximize financial savings as well as ensure clean laundry loads, experts recommend that people also use detergents designed for cold water, consumerreports.org reported.

The price of cold water laundry detergent per load is generally comparable to other types of detergent, so Fairfield County residents should still save plenty of money on their energy costs even if they must buy a different type of detergent, according to consumerreports.org.
