“We encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about this project and its potential to enhance public safety on our roads,” said the delegates – state Sen. Tony Hwang (R-28) and state Reps. Brenda Kupchick (R-132), Cristin McCarthy Vahey (D-133) and Laura Devlin (R-134).
A proposed installation of centerline rumble strips on state and locally owned roads will be covered at the meeting. The project is expected to begin in spring of 2016 and will cover about 150 miles of centerline rumble strips on bidirectional state roadways and about 50 miles of locally owned roads.
The meeting will begin with an open forum for individual discussions with DOT officials at 6:30 p.m., followed by a formal presentation at 7 p.m.
