Crash Ties Up Traffic On I-95 Near Fairfield, Westport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — A couple of accidents were tying up traffic on I-95 as rush-hour approaches on Tuesday afternoon, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Traffic is backed up on northbound I-95 in Westport and Fairfield.

In Fairfield, a motor vehicle accident was blocking I-95 northbound between Exits 19 and 21 with the left and center lanes closed, DOT said. The crash was reported at 4:10 p.m. Traffic was backed up into Westport, DOT said.

In Stamford, there were delays for 3 miles on I-95 southbound between Exits 10 and 6 after an earlier crash near Exit 6.
