WalletHub analyzed the 50 states and the District of Columbia to rank the best and worst states for women based on 13 metrics such as median earnings, access to preventive health care and high school dropout rates.
Minnesota came in first as the best state for women, and Arkansas was listed last, according to the report. Surrounding states include Massachusetts at No. 2, New York at No. 15, New Jersey at No. 17 and Rhode Island at No. 18.
