Connecticut Lawmakers Approve Kids' Use Of Medical Marijuana

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A bill to give parents and guardians permission to enroll their kids in Connecticut's medical marijuana program met with lawmakers' approval Monday, reported the Connecticut Post.

Still some legislative members were critical of the bill for "over-reaching" because glaucoma was added to the list of allowed ailments, comprised of 17, said the Connecticut Post.

The bill would only allow use of liquid cannabis after two physicians approve the use, according to the report.

It must next meet with House of Representatives approval, said the Connecticut Post.
