After Attacks, Connecticut Reminds Residents To Report Suspicious Activity

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- As intelligence agencies across the country, including the Connecticut Intelligence Center, monitor domestic and international information about the deadly terrorist attack in Brussels, they also are asking residents to be beware, and as always, if you see something, say something.

Connecticut State Police are asking residents to be alert and, if they see something, say something. Here is a video from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority addressing the issue on Metro-North Railroad.

The center is responsible for analyzing threat information throughout the region. It cannot be emphasized enough the importance that all citizens play in reporting suspicious activity to mitigate future threats, the Connecticut State Police said.

To report suspicious activity, call 1-866-HLS-TIPS, e-mail ctic@ct.gov or go to www.ct.gov/demhs/sar.

The Department of Homeland Security has launched the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign across the country in an effort to increase vigilance among the community, private sector, and government sector. Be aware of your surroundings, report questionable behavior, and notify law enforcement authorities immediately of questionable devices via 911.
