Investigators with the Webster Police Department in Massachusetts are working with Connecticut State Police after the girl was taken near the May Street Park on May 31.
Police said the 12-year-old girl was riding to the park to meet with a friend when she was approached by a man in the car. She was then enticed to go with him under the guise of needing help with a friend.
According to police, the girl went with the man and was taken across the state line into Connecticut, where she was allegedly sexually assaulted. She was later dropped off in the area of Chase Avenue in Dudley, where she ran to a nearby home and contacted her mother.
The description of the man’s vehicle was a black, two-door car with a light interior. The man was described as being white, with blonde hair and a “skinny face.” He also had light facial hair at the time of the incident.
The incident has led to a multi-agency law enforcement investigation between the District Attorney’s Office, detectives in Webster, and the Connecticut State Police.
