Vietnam Vets Sought to March in Fairfield Parade

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Memorial Day is just around the corner and the committee in charge of Fairfield’s parade is looking for veterans to lead the way. In particular, the group is looking for those who served during the Vietnam War.

The invitation is open to anyone who served in the U.S. armed forces from Feb. 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975. The Vietnam vets will march together as the first unit leading the parade. Veterans do not need a uniform to participate.

Those interested in participating are asked to contact the Fairfield Memorial Day Committee at fairfieldmemorialday@yahoo.com or 203-414-0246 no later than May 20.
