Neighbors Taking The Plunge To Help Save The Children In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield residents are about to jump into freezing waters for the New Year's Plunge at Jennings Beach.

Residents will take a polar plunge in Fairfield Jan. 1 to benefit Save the Children.

The "Polar Plunge" to benefit the Fairfield-based Save the Children will take place Sunday, Jan 1. Arrival begins at 9:30 a.m., with the plunge at 10 a.m.

Interested residents may register at www.active.com no later  than Saturday, Dec. 31, at noon.

All proceeds will go to Save the Children programs.

Jennings Beach is located at 880 S. Benson Road, Fairfield.

Save the Children gives children in the United States and around the world a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.
