Miriam Glass, 94, Fairfield Social Worker

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Miriam Glass of Fairfield died May 14 at her residence. She was 94. 

Glass was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Morris and Anna Kenigsberg. She attended Connecticut College and Columbia Graduate School of Social Work. Glass worked for many years as a social worker for the state of Connecticut.

She was a longtime member of Congregation Beth El and Hadassah. An avid gardener, Glass was also accomplished in the culinary arts.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. William I. Glass; two sons, Allan Glass and Paul Glass; two daughters, Marnie Glass and Diane Glass; a brother, Dr. Kenneth Kenigsberg; a sister, Frieda Lopatin; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial afterward at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in New York.

Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth El in Fairfield.
