FAIRFIELD, Conn. Earlier this week we asked for readers to tell us about their summer reading. We should have known to go to the Fairfield Public Library first. The library wrapped up its Teen Summer Reading Game last week with a big celebration, and sent along this photo to highlight the amazing amount of reading that went on this summer.
A total of 326 Fairfield teens participated in this summers program. Together they finished 1,323 books between June 1 and Aug. 5. The kids kept track of their progress online all summer, entering a raffle at the end of the program that earned one an iPod Touch and others a collection of international instruments to go along with the programs theme, One World, Many Stories. Good work, kids!
