FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Welcome to Centro's Restaurant--delicious Italian food, a wonderful outdoor patio and a warm, friendly staff. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely and engaging young woman, Megan Waldvogel, a student entering her sophomore year at the University of Michigan. She spends many evenings hostessing and enjoys meeting people. Megan loves school and is looking forward to the start of a new year. She is a friendly face who will be missed once she departs for Michigan. Best of luck to Megan!.
If you love the sound of old-time favorites by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Elvis Presley, Tony Bennett and Dean Martin, I have the man for you. Stephen D'Agostino is a talented, charming, handsome singer. I have had the pleasure of listening to his band as well on more than one occasion. This past Sunday he was playing at the Gazebo in downtown Fairfield, and he certainly knows how to draw a crowd. He performs with an elegance and charm that takes you back to the time of the old greats. His voice is mesmerizing, and the crowd always loves him. Steve has a large following, and obviously loves to perform. His 93-year-old grandmother was in the front row. He lovingly dedicated a Bobby Darin song to her and she beamed as she proudly showed off his family. I bought his CD for $10 and can't stop listening to it. The music he performs is dazzling and his backup band is just as goodlooking as he is. Great sounds, tradional manner and good looks--what's better than that on a Sunday evening. Who can resist a candy shop that sells both fudge and ice cream? Sweet Rexies is one of the most unique candy stores that I have been in. I take my children there all the time, but the other day we did something a bit different. We ordered ice cream--and it was wonderful. Managers Karen Gildae and Krystal Maran are excited that fudge will be added to their other delicious options. Customers have requested fudge, and it's on its way.
