Fairfield Museum to Host Candy House Workshop

Have you built a gingerbread house with your kids yet? How would you like to take care of the fun part, but let someone else gather the candy and handle the cleanup?

You’ll get your chance this Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Burr Homestead in Fairfield. The Fairfield Museum and History Center will host its Candy House Workshop in celebration of the holidays. Visitors can create their own sugary abodes, complete with graham cracker roofs, gumdrop windows, licorice fences and, of course, plenty of icing as mortar.

The event runs from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The Burr Homestead is at 739 Old Post Road. The cost is $15 for museum members, $20 for non-members. The museum suggests registering in advance online or by calling (203) 259-1598.
