Colin Breavan took going green to a whole new level in 2006. Much to the chagrin of his wife, Michelle, he vowed to limit his environmental impact as much as possible -- no automated transportation, no electricity, no non-local food, no more material consumption. His efforts are the subject of No Impact Man, the last of the Fairfield Librarys selections for the Green Film Festival.
What began as one mans environmental experiment quickly becomes an experiment in how much one woman is willing to sacrifice for her husbands dreams, reads the librarys description of the film.
You can watch Colins struggles Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairifeld Woods. The film screens in the downUnder teen space. Admission is free, but the library suggests registering online to ensure a spot.
