Sisters Charlene Lebo and Suzanne DeSantie started the concert in 2010. Their husbands, Keith Lebo and Jim DeSantie, both died of pancreatic cancer less than a year apart.
The now-annual show is the year’s biggest fund-raiser for the Lebo-Desantie Center for Pancreatic and Liver Disease, which was founded at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in the two men’s honor after the inaugural show.
The sisters chose a concert as their fund-raiser to honor Lebo, a professional musician who died before releasing his first album. Many of the concert’s acts performed with Lebo during his career. This year’s acts include the Christopher Robin Band, the Doug Wahlberg Band, Holden Truelove, Daniela Cardillo and other special guests.
A Night of Music’s 2012 concert starts at 6 p.m., at the Quick Center for the Arts of Fairfield University’s campus, 200 Barlow Road.
Tickets are available at the theater box office. You can also make donations directly to the Lebo-DeSantie center at St. Vincent’s website.
