FAIRFIELD, Conn. Fairfield natives Robin and Paul Anderson are about to embark on the next chapter of their life together, and they're excited about it. Robin, a nurse at Bridgeport Hospital, and Paul, a bus driver for special needs children of the Fairfield Public Schools, recently moved to Fieldstone Village in Orange.
We happened upon Fieldstone Village and immediately felt this is where we want to be, Robin said.
The first major perk of their new home was that it didn't keep them far from helping others. Paul will continue to drive Fairfield children to school, occupational therapy, home and to the YMCA.
I get to be a little part of their lives," Paul said. "I love what I do. Im glad I can make things a little easier for the children.
Robin will also be able to continue her 37-year commitment to nursing the sick back to health in the urology department of Bridgeport Hospitals outpatient facility.
Were trying to make that connection for trust and compassion, and its rewarding to see patients come in anxious for a procedure and be able to send them home after, she said.
Living in Fieldstone has also brought Robin and Paul 5 to 10 minutes closer to their daughter and 2-year old grandson, Skeylar, who live in Milford. Robin was excited about being able to babysit more often.
Hes got this huge personality," she said. "He is inquisitive and just loves life. He is the joy of our life.
Robin and Paul Anderson were high school sweethearts and have been together for 45 years.
Were very happy to be doing what we are still doing, and we are happy with how everything has turned out, she added.
