Fairfield Boy Scouts Deliver Toys To Bridgeport Foster Families

“I want to wholeheartedly thank Troop 90 and its feeder Cub Scout Pack 401 for donating new, unwrapped gifts to their most vulnerable and less fortunate peers in Bridgeport," said Tetreau. "This is a tremendous act of kindness that benefits our Bridgeport neighbors. These gifts are extra special because they came from youth from different economic backgrounds in Fairfield who hand-picked gifts that they hoped their peers in Bridgeport would like.”

The scouts set out to follow the Troop's slogan of "do a go turn daily" and reached out to Bridgeport neighbors while collecting gifts for the humanitarian scout project. Each member purchased a new, unwrapped toy to donate.

Troop 90 consists of students from the town's two high schools, three middle schools and Burr Elementary School.

DCF Regional Administrator Ken Cabral thanked the group for “the bountiful array of toys, games, books and apparel" for the grateful foster families and children.
