FAIRFIELD, Conn. Elizabeth Nemeth Kovis, 90, of Fairfield, died Saturday, April 14, at the Jewish Home for the Elderly of Fairfield.
Kovis was born in Csoma, Czechoslovakia, and immigrated to Connecticut in 1947. A Holocaust survivor, she was a member of Congregation Ahavath Achim for many years.
Kovis is survived by a daughter, Judith Kovis Stockman and her husband, Gil Shapiro; a son, Ronald Kovis and his wife Sharon (Luz Elena); a brother, Ernest Nemeth; a sister, Louise Hoch; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at Ahavath Achim Cemetery in Fairfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home for the Elderly or to the American Diabetes Association. Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
