FAIRFIELD, Conn. Dorothea Corbiere, 89, of Fairfield, died April 17.
Born in Bridgeport to the late George and Alice Stapleton, she was a lifelong area resident. Corbiere was a secretary for the Fairfield Board of Education for more than 35 years.
She is survived by a son, Dr. James D. (Mary Ellen) Corbiere, of Fairfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold O. Corbiere; two brothers, George and Vincent Stapleton; and a sister, Margaret Hayden.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Church in Fairfield. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.
