After his 7 p.m. talk, Schwarz will join a panel discussion with psychotherapist Elizabeth Jorgensen and Jamison Monroe, Jr., an adolescent mental health treatment expert who is profiled in the book.
Schwarz is best known for reporting on public health issues. His series on concussions in sports is credited with revolutionizing the treatment of head injuries in professional and youth sports and was a finalist for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.
He is also recognized for his use of math and probability in journalism.
