The rally was at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Southport.

The rally, which took place from 3:30-5:30 p.m., was a fun way to make disaster preparedness a priority for children and families.

The rally also was part of disaster preparedness month.

Save the Children came up with the idea as a signature part of its Get Ready, Get Safe campaign.

Save the Children’s prep rallies have been mobilized throughout the country for more than a year to help empower kids and families to ensure they’re ready for emergencies and disasters.
