Uber, the international ride service best known for chauffeuring people from place to place, will be sending out luxury cars to deliver premium ice cream bars from co-sponsor Magnum to your neighborhood and beyond, according to Ariella Steinhorn in Uber's public affairs office.
Here’s how it works:
Open your Uber app from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 15. Tap the “Ice Cream” icon on the slider at the bottom of the app. Set your location and tap “Request.”
If a car is available in your area, you’ll be indulging in four free Magnum bars in minutes.

The #UberIceCream promo is one of several the ride service offers throughout the year. If all goes as planned, sweet tooths in 400 cities from Auckland to Zurich will be enjoying frozen delicacies throughout the day.
""Our theme for this year is 'Indulge Together' and Uber Ice Cream is all about celebrating what we have in common," Steinhorn said. "It's also an opportunity for members of our Connecticut team to get out in the community and meet riders and drivers face to face."
Some lucky riders will get their deliveries in special, surprise vehicles. And Uber is encouraging fans to share their photos on social media.
Uber will be streaming the best pictures tagged with #UberIceCream along the way.
