We asked Daily Voice readers for their favorite Fairfield County chicken wing spots and now have five finalists in the running.
Cast your ballot for the one you like best – then tell your friends. You can only vote once.
In the spirit of "winging it" (sorry, we couldn't resist the pun), each restaurant is being profiled this week, with the contest ending 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23.
Porky's Cafe, 50 Center St, Shelton, (203) 924-4869
Wing Choices: Thai, barbecue, and Buffalo served piled high on a large oval plate with sauce.
Most Popular Heat Level: They serve them at one heat level with a little kick, but they can make them as hot as you like.
Good To Know: Owners Mark "Porky" Anderson and Paul Piccirillo opened Porky's in 1987 at its current Center Street location. It was remodeled about six years ago and now has an upstairs room for rentals.
