That's opening day for the Downtown Farmers Market all summer long to Oct. 6 every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Sherman Green.
The vendor list is robust with over 30 farms and small batch food producers on it.
Four Connecticut farms with Little River Farm in Fairfield included will bring seasonal vegetables and salad greens around; while fresh fish from Rhode Island, pasture-raised beef, pork, farm eggs and goat and cow cheese will be available.
Other market products will be guacamole, salami, pickles, local honey, fruit jelly and jam, olive oil, and maple syrup, fresh loaves of bread, sweets, cakes, pies, and biscotti.
