Ditch The Mall: Pequot Library Hosts Black Friday Book Sale

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Looking to score some Black Friday deals without elbowing through the hordes of bargain hunters at the mall?

This signed copy of tennis great Billie Jean King's "Pressure is a Privilege" will be up for grabs at the Pequot Library Black Friday/Saturday Book Sale.

Head on over to the Pequot Library, which will host a Black Friday/Saturday Book Sale on Nov. 24 and 25, offering 10,000 new and gently used books and other items perfect for holiday gift-giving.

The sale features books, CDs, DVDs and items signed by tennis great Billie Jean King, astronaut Alan Bean and others. A focus on photography means there will be vintage cameras for sale, as well as books on photography and signed pre-release copies of “Birdsong” by noted local photographer Philip Trager.

The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The library is located at 720 Pequot Avenue, Southport.
