EverQuote Insurance analyzed 281 million miles of driving data from 2017 from its EverDrive app -- which helps track people's driving habits.
The analysis found that Connecticut motorists use their cellphones about 34 percent of the time when they are behind the wheel and speed about 56 percent of the time, according to EverQuote's safe driving report. That placed the state last among the 50 states studied.
The insurance company’s second annual EverDrive Safe Driving Report gave Connecticut a nationwide worst score of 71.6.
Last year, Connecticut drivers were ranked the second most unsafe in the country.
