Each year, the Car Care Council brings attention to the importance of car care and preventative maintenance by partnering with local automotive repair stores. They provide shops with an 'industry tool-box,' which includes a National Car Care Month banner, stickers, window hangers and other promotional tools for businesses to utilize.
"We’ve been hosting free vehicle inspection events during the entire month of April for nine years," said Maryann Croce, co-owner of Norwalk-based Croce’s Transmission Specialists, an automotive repair shop. "It’s a great way to thank our customers and give back to the community. We have lots of fun participating and each year come up with new creative ideas to promote our event."
Croce's will be hosting fun and creative events to get customers excited about Car Care Month, with events including drawings and prizes, videos, giveaways, educational information and more.
"I think all vehicle owners should take advantage of the opportunity to stop by our shop, see how they're treated and receive some great car information and tips," said Croce. "It’s also a great time to ask those automotive questions you may have on your mind."
Croce's Transmission Specialists is going the extra mile this Car Care Month by donating a portion of the proceeds they earn in April to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut. "I encourage shop owners and staff to participate in National Car Care Month," said Croce. "It’s a great time to give back to the community, educate your customers on maintenance, answer questions and help a local charity."
