Amateur Anglers Wanted For Kids Fishing Derby In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The area’s youngest anglers are invited to show off their fishing prowess Aug. 20 at Fairfield PAL’s annual Snapper Blue Derby.

Held from 9 to 11 a.m. at South Benson Marina, the event is open to any child ages 3 to 15.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

All participants must bring their own fishing equipment, but a limited amount of bait will be provided by Jimmy O’s Bait & Tackle of Bridgeport.

Prizes will be awarded in several categories.
