Friday, April 26 McKinley School Carnival: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. McKinley Elementary School’s PTA hosts its annual carnival at Fairfield’s Jennings Beach. The festival continues Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wristband specials are available for unlimited rides each day. 1000 S. Benson Road, Fairfield

Saturday, April 27 Green Up Day: 8:15 a.m. to noon. Weston Kiwanis Club hosts an Earth Day-inspired day of volunteering to clean up the town’s open spaces. Meet at Norfield Parish Hall. 64 Norfield Road, Weston.

Amazing Audubon Adventure: 1:30 p.m. The Connecticut Audubon Society hosts an educational competition at its Center at Fairfield. Teams of kids and their parents can sign up to compete in a scavenger hunt across the center’s sanctuary. 2325 Burr St., Fairfield.

Sunday, April 28 “Elementary, My Dear Watson:” 2 p.m. Redding resident and IBM Senior Vice Preisdent Mike Rhodin talks about changing technology and how computers that “learn,” like IBM’s Jeopardy-paying Watson—will change lives at the Mark Twain Library. 439 Redding Road, Redding.
