There's a Map for That!: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A special exhibition that explores many faces of Connecticut and the whys and ways of mapping them with large-scale, full-color reproductions of rarely-seen historic maps from the 18th century to the present. The 1750 Ogden House Tour: 1 to 4 p.m. The house is furnished with period objects, including textiles and fine pieces of furniture with Fairfield provenance. You will see how people lived in the eighteenth century, take a stroll through the kitchen garden, generously maintained by the Fairfield Garden Club, and view plantings used in colonial times. Landscapes in Light and Shadow by Carol C. Young: 4 to 6:00 p.m. Landscape painter Carol C. Young’s works in acrylics and oils will be on exhibit and sale. She is a plein air painter as well as a studio artist whose work is primarily identified by a bold use of light and shadow along with iconic depictions of the rural landscape. Free. In Vogue: A Runway of Vintage Fashion: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The collection features the fashion-forward women of Fairfield throughout the Colonial, Regency, Edwardian and Victorian eras from 1780 to 1920. Members are free, nonmembers are $5. Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road.
