Children in elementary school and middle school can enjoy a kid-friendly and interactive performance of "All's Well That Ends Well." The program will help kids learn about the play in advance, making it more accessible later. They will see an adapted, shorter version, enacted in everyday English.
“The Apprentice Company makes the play penetrable. The kids go to it the following week knowing who the characters are and what will happen,” explained librarian Susan Ei.
Registration is encouraged at childrens@pequotlibrary.org or by calling (203)-259-0346 ext.18.
The following week, families can attend the "Shakespeare on the Sound: Field Trip" on Wednesday, June 24, at 7:30 p.m. Pequot Library will have reserved premier grass seating for patrons to see the play during its run in Rowayton's Pinkney Park. Arrive early and bring a picnic supper. There is a pre-performance for children at 6:30 p.m. The event is free, but donations to “Shakespeare on the Sound” will be accepted at the door. Registration at childrens@pequotlibrary.org or (203)-259-0346 ext. 18, for Pequot Library’s premier seating is required for a courtesy headcount.
