Southport Volunteer Fire Department Hosts Open House

SOUTHPORT, Conn. -- The Southport Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting its annual open house on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be live demonstrations throughout the day as well as equipment on display. The Fairfield Fire Department’s Fire Safety Trailer will be on hand for children to practice what to do in the event of a fire.

The Connecticut State Police will also be demonstrating the importance of wearing seat belts with a rollover simulator.

The Southport Volunteer Fire Department is located at 69 Main St.
