Keynote speaker David E. Kirkland will present his talk, “The Truth That I Owe You: Making Black Lives Matter in Classrooms.”
Kirkland is the executive director at New York University’s Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools. He is also associate professor of English and urban education at New York University.
The event is sponsored by the Office of Volunteer Programs & Service Learning and United Campus Alliance. It's free and open to the public.
