One-Woman Show Celebrates Emily Dickinson At Fairfield Library

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Public Library will host a one-woman show based on the letters, life stories and poems of Emily Dickinson, with professional actress Ginger Grace, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Room.

Grace brings Emily to life in “Inside Emily Dickinson: Her Poetry and Her Life,” a show that combines performance with audience interaction. She will often reach out to the group for ideas, words or phrases. Learn about Emily Dickinson and celebrate her life and work at the presentation.

Grace has played Emily Dickinson in “The Belle of Amherst,” by William Luce, throughout the country since 2002, as well as in her own interactive performance piece, “Inside Emily Dickinson.” She has recently taken her one-woman show “The First Ladies Coalition,” where she plays Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson, Mary Todd Lincoln and an Irish convict who brings them all together, to the David M. Player Center for the Arts in Arizona and the Abingdon Theatre in New York City.

Grace has also toured nationally opposite Rich Little in “The Presidents” playing all of his First Ladies from Jackie Kennedy to Hillary Clinton. She has worked extensively in New York and regional theater and acted in several independent films. She was recently on The Dr. Oz Show for the “Bringing Healthy Back” Campaign.
