The New Mastersounds and Moon Hooch will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday and Kung Fu performs at 9 p.m. Friday.

The New Mastersounds offer listeners up-tempo joyride through channels of soul, Afro-beat, jazz and old school funk. They're all about the pocket, the groove and getting you out of your seat.

On Friday, Connecticut local jam band Kung Fu brings its heavy funk to The Warehouse. Making funk fusion music “cool” again, the band draws on several influences, such as early Headhunters, Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra, and merges those ideas with technical fireworks and a contemporary EDM informed sensibility. They headlined New Year’s Eve on StageOne in 2013, and now return three years later to take on FTC’s new venue, The Warehouse.

Its opening act, lespecial, has been making waves as a jam band to watch, performing across the Northeast and beyond as an opening act, headliner and music festival participant.

Doors open for The New Mastersounds and Moon Hooch at 7 p.m. Thursday; doors open for Kung Fu and lespecial at 8 p.m. Friday.
