During Money Smart Week, the library is offering three programs and will extend the learning with three additional programs the following week.
Understanding Energy Efficient Programs for Homes and Small Businesses will take place on Tuesday, April 21, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library.
This will be an informational program about how to lower a home or business energy bill. Representatives from United Illuminating, Nex-Gen and Astrum Solar will be present.
Estate Planning 101: Breaking Down the Legalese will be on Wednesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in the Rotary Room at the Main Library.
Attendees will learn the basics about estate planning and probate administration in order to chart their estates and financial futures.
Durable power of attorney, an omnibus health care document, potential benefits of long term health insurance and a brief overview of the probate process are just some of the topics to be discussed. Fairfield lawyer Christine M. Niedermeier will lead this presentation.
Understanding and Investing in the Stock Market will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the Rotary Room, Main Library.
