On Wednesdays at 6 p.m., join an introductory class where students will learn how to thread and operate a sewing machine, learn to read a pattern, and start working on a project.
The first Saturday of each month at 1 p.m., join a class that sews useful, creative items. Must be 18 or older. On Oct. 3, the class will be making a cloth bag.
Purls of Wisdom, a knitting and crocheting group, meets every Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon. Class is appropriate for the advanced knitter or beginner.
The American Sewing Guild meets the third Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Bring a lunch and work on personal sewing projects while learning new sewing techniques.
