The ceremony honoring all three takes place at 6 p.m. with cocktails and dinner followed by the awards at 7 p.m. at the Manhattan Club (Rosie O’Grady’s, 800 Seventh Avenue) in New York City.
WFAN radio update reporter Bob Heussler, the longtime voice of the Stags, will host the event, known as the Fairfield Basketball Tip-Off Dinner.
"They have conducted themselves with great professionalism on the highest level, which is a model for both aspiring sports commentators of the future, and all student-athletes as they prepare for their post-college careers,”said Gene Doris, director of athletics at Fairfield.
Doris, along with head men’s basketball coach Sydney Johnson, head women’s basketball coach Joe Frager and other special guests will present the awards.
Bob Berchem (class of ’62) and Tabitha Brickhouse-Fortt (class of ’90) will be the alumni honorees of the Stags Distinguished Service Award: Leader of the Herd award in recognition of their support of Fairfield athletics.

Wolff, of South Nyack, is enshrined in the media wing of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as recipient of the Curt Gowdy Award. He's been on the air for 75 years. Among other notable accomplishments, he did play-by-play for the Holiday Festival for 29 years, and was the television voice of the New York Knicks when they won NBA championships in 1970 and ’73.
Elmore, in his 27th year broadcasting college basketball, was a high school All-American and a college All-American at the University of Maryland.
MacMullan, inducted into the media wing of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 with the Curt Gowdy Award, is a columnist for ESPNBoston.com and commentator on ESPN. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she also played basketball, MacMullan has covered a wide variety of sports for the Boston Globe and Sports Illustrated.
