Fairfield University Presents Shostakovich’s 'The Nose'

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield University will broadcast a production of Dmitri Shostakovich’s "The Nose" as part of The Met: Live in HD at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. and again at 6 p.m.

"The Nose," which debuted in 2010, is about a bureaucrat and his satirical misadventures in search of his missing nose. It is based on Nikolai Gogol’s comic story.

The Met: Live in HD is a series of high definition opera transmissions of The Metropolitan Opera’s new season direct from Lincoln Center’s Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. The HD broadcast will give the audience at the quick center the feeling of having the best seats in the house. 

Tickets for the event are $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors and $10 for children and students.
