Fairfield University faculty member Sally O’Driscoll and Professor Sonya Huber will lead the debate on Monday, Sept. 21 in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, at 7 p.m.
Topics that will discussed include whether the book is a draft of "To Kill A Mockingbird," if the hype was created by the publisher deliberately, if the new book discredits the classic "Mockingbird,: if Harper Lee was coerced into publishing the Watchman manuscript and much more.
All questions will be answered.
Huber is an associate professor and director of the MFA program at Fairfield University, where she teaches creative nonfiction, publishing, editing and composition.
O’Driscoll is a professor of English, where she teaches 18th-century Literature, Graphic Novels, and Gender & Sexuality in Film and Literature.
There will be copies of the book for sale from the Fairfield University Bookstore.
Advanced registration is required due to limited space.
All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.
