Kids ages 7 to 14 can learn about routers, chop saws, kreg jigs, drill presses and circular saws. The children will learn how the furniture components for the new Children’s Department were designed and fabricated.
Then can also assemble the cool art stools and cabinets themselves, and inscribe their names permanently on the bottom as "Made by."
The Pequot Woodshop furniture will become part of the soon-to-be renovated Children’s Department at Pequot Library.
An anonymous, generous Friend of Pequot Library donated funds to refurbish the Children’s Department, with new paint, carpets and art tables.
Pequot Library invites kids from all over to become part of the permanent legacy in the Children’s Department by making a stool or cabinet.
A $50 donation is recommended. Funds raised provide crucial support for programs and library services.
Registration is required. Email or call Susan Ei, Children's Librarian, at childrens@pequotlibrary.org or (203) 259-0346, Ext. 18.
The Pequot Library is at 720 Pequot Ave.
