The Los Angeles-based group is set to perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. Members of the group will also host a post-performance Q&A on the Quick Center stage.
"In less than a decade, BodyTraffic has convincingly won over audiences throughout the country with its dynamic theatricality and fresh vitality as it commissions and performs works by today’s most distinctive contemporary choreographers," a press release said. "The company was founded by Lillian Rose Barbeito and Tina Finkelman Berkett in 2007, and since that time, has helped establish Los Angeles as a major center for contemporary dance."
The program for BodyTraffic’s appearance at the Quick Center will feature “Kollide” by Kyle Abraham, an award-winning choreographer who was a 2013 MacArthur Fellow.
The media sponsor for the event is Morris Media. Tickets are $45, $35 and $30. Tickets and subscriptions are available through the Quick Center Box Office: at 203-254-4010, or toll-free 1-877-ARTS-396. (1-877-278-7396). Tickets can also be purchased online at the Quick Center for the Arts website.
