The business was featured on the magazine’s website. It earned the distinction in recognition of its business results, customer feedback and customer expertise.
“It’s very gratifying,’’ said Skip Wyatt, co-owner of the business along with his son, Lorenzo. “We’re thrilled. We’ve been very pleased that people share their experience. This level of recognition is the first time we’ve earned something like this in that category. It’s the result of doing a lot of good work for our customers.”
Mr. Handyman started in 2004, but has been involved in the remodeling business for only about a year. They developed their business plan for remodeling in a unique way, Wyatt said.
“We integrated the design function with our contracting business,’’ he said. “We have outstanding designers for kitchens, basements, bathrooms and more. They work along side the technicians right from the start. It saves a lot of time and there are a lot fewer moving parts. We basically provide an end-to-end service.”
Noreen Von Brauchitsch, a kitchen designer, and Linda DeSilva, an interior designer, joined Mr. Handyman earlier this year. They are among the Mr. Handyman designers who work alongside the technicians to transform living spaces.
Mr. Handyman also has three other lines of service, including small jobs, home energy audits and home energy upgrades.
