Perdue Recalls Chicken Products Sold In Connecticut

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Perdue Chicken has announced a recall of 720 pounds of raw, fresh chicken products shipped to New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania due to a temperature change that occurred during production.

The USDA is recalling Perdue chicken products that could be found in Putnam County.

Products subject to the recall include 80-pound cardboard boxes, containing approximately 28, 2.5-pound ice-packed, sealed packages of “Cookin' Good Whole Young Chickens” with giblets and necks.

The packages bear the establishment number “P-764” on the box.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
