Officials have laid out locations throughout the five boroughs where GE can set up office space.

The move has been a possibility ever since the Connecticut state budget passed in June, including changes to the corporate tax structure, reported Politico.

GE's corporate headquarters were located on Lexington Avenue in New York City until 1974.
