GE announced last month that it would be moving its headquarters to Boston beginning later this year. Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said that the move was inspired by the company's desire to be in proximity to a more urban environment. The move leaves an 85-acre campus in Fairfield empty, which the company plans to sell.
