To commemorate this milestone, Pepe’s has teamed up with Susan G. Komen Southern New England to be a sponsor for its Fairfield County Race for the Cure event on Saturday, May 7, at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport.
It is also kicking off a month-long initiative throughout March to help raise critical funds and awareness on behalf of the organization.
Customers can show their support for Komen Southern New England by making their donations at Pepe’s of Fairfield. Donations of $100 or more will receive a free large pizza. On Tuesday, April 5, folks can visit Pepe’s and register their teams for the Komen Southern New England Race for the Cure to receive a Pepe’s Discount Card and meet the leadership team behind Komen Southern New England.
Founded in 1925 in New Haven by Frank Pepe, Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria Napoletana is nationally renowned for its Neapolitan pizza baked in coal-fired brick ovens. Frank Pepe Pizzeria began serving its popular thin-crust pizzas in Fairfield on March 14, 2006.
“The number one priority is maintaining our family tradition of serving fresh, high-quality pizza that tastes as good as what we’ve been serving in New Haven since 1925,” said Gary Bimonte, grandson of Frank Pepe and director of quality assurance and training. “We thank the Fairfield community for embracing us and we are thrilled to give back to the community and support Komen Southern New England’s Fairfield County Race for the Cure.”
Pepe’s has locations throughout Connecticut, Yonkers, N.Y., and Boston.
