Established in 1983 by Sara Faust, Faust Harrison Pianos has long been New York’s largest piano retailer, with stores in Manhattan, White Plains and Long Island, N.Y. The company is also America’s largest piano restoration company. With its recent expansion into Connecticut, Faust Harrison brings a winning formula for all things pianos and keyboard education to the state.
The freshly renovated, 6,000-square-foot showroom and performance center at 322 Black Rock Turnpike features a spacious recital area, a unique “Circle of Love” display of pianos and a special listening room equipped with a groundbreaking Yamaha Disklavier reproducing piano and related technology.
“Our goal is to be an arts and cultural center in southern Connecticut, offering people the opportunity not only to experience and purchase great pianos, but also to enjoy fine art installations and cultural events,” said manager Erica vanderLinde Feidner, a former concert pianist, who has more than two decades of expertise and experience in piano sales and customer service. “As people walk in and look around our modern, open space with white oak floors, pianos set up in an inviting way along with a relaxed and comfortable listening room, they quickly realize that this is a fun and engaging place to get to know pianos.”
Customers can experience the thrill of playing world-class, classic concert grands, such as a new Yamaha CFX or a fully and impeccably restored vintage Steinway. They also can check out the latest breed of Yamaha hybrid pianos, such as the AvantGrand, NU1, TransAcoustic and Disklavier, which combine the best of acoustic piano craftsmanship with cutting edge computer technology and concert grand sound.
